Beth Lordo (she/her) has been contributing to the therapeutic field for the past 18 years and loves to walk with people on their individual journeys. The focus of her work is to provide a warm, safe space for healing at the client's pace. Beth holds a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech University in Music Therapy, and a master's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Clinical Counseling. Through Beth's work in creative therapeutic modalities, she has developed a love and passion for helping people through unique and experiential means, focus on "the here and now" and encouraging clients to explore and know themselves in a meaningful way.
She has worked in many settings including outpatient practice as well as inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, foster care, geriatric care, and prison. As a veteran foster parent, Beth enjoys working with adoptive families, teaching the principles of trauma parenting, and treating familial issues with both heterosexual and LGBT+ families.
Beth is also EMDR-trained, and focuses her practice on childhood trauma and PTSD, grielf and loss, depression and burnout, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and IFS (Internal Family Systems). When not enjoying her therapeutic work, Beths hold dear to the time spent with her three kids, three dogs, and one husband. She is an aspiring beekeeper.
